In
Egyptian mythology, Isis was the goddess of the moon and the earth,
mother of Horus, and wife and sister to Osiris. She also held the
distinction of being worshipped by the Greeks and the Romans, making
her very popular indeed. Traditionally, the all-female krewe is
noted for its delightful assortment of floats and the
specatularly-attired maids are always a standout.
